Coached by Carla DeCostanzo Weiss, seven members of the Elwood-John H. Glenn High School varsity girls tennis team – Elizabeth Benavides, Kaitlyn Fazal, Danika Jhaveri, Nidhi Kamatkar, Chloe Kougemitros, Malaine Robert and Bella Ronai – recently competed in the Suffolk County Divisional Individual Championships, with Robert advancing to the Suffolk County Championships on Oct. 18. She is the first John Glenn player to qualify for this level of competition and play in the county championships in 15 years.
