Elwood-John H. Glenn High School has been designated a 2024-2025 School of Distinction by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Earning this prestigious School of Distinction status requires that 100% of a high school’s varsity teams receive the association’s Scholar-Athlete Team Award. To achieve the Scholar-Athlete award, 75% of a team’s players must have a grade-point average equal to or greater than 90%. Glenn was one of only 77 Long Island high schools and 331 statewide to be awarded School of Distinction or School of Excellence honors by the NYSPHSAA this year.
