The Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Marching Knights participated in the 61st annual Newsday Marching Band Festival, held on Oct. 21 at Mitchel Field in Uniondale. Led by band director Dr. Paul Lasurdo, field instructor Samantha McDermott, percussion instructor Dasia Docette, kickline coach Allison Peiliker, color guard instructor Amy Chiarello and drum majors Sophia Brown and Aaleshan Jamal, the band performed their “Marching Into Love” show under the lights alongside other schools from Nassau and Suffolk counties.
