Last week, Elwood-John H. Glenn High School juniors and seniors attended a presentation by Dr. Stephen Dewey on the escalating crisis of youth addiction and its dual threats. Dr. Dewey shared alarming data and discussed the science behind addiction, including specific health risks associated with substances like vaping, THC and alcohol. The school’s freshmen and sophomores will attend this presentation in early November, and parents will also have an opportunity to hear Dr. Dewey speak at Parent University on Nov. 12.
